YSR Congress Chief YS Jagan Challenges Congress Government      Top
YS Jagan Mohan ReddyOct 11, Kadapa: YSR Congress Party President and Kadapa MP YS. Jagan Mohan Reddy today staged a huge agitation against farmers and electricity problems at Kadapa collector's office.

Several MLA's , Ex-MLA's and thousands of party activists and farmers took part in this dharna.

Speaking on the occasion Jagan came down heavily on congress government for their complete failure in running the state. He said that this government is sleeping while farmers are dying. He also said that this government is anti-farmers government.

He said that Singareni workers in Telangana who are on strike per past 27 days gave 45 days notice before starting the dharna to government but still this government didn't take any steps to counter coal problems, he said that CM Kiran Kumar is useless leader who is leading this state.

He demanded government to immediacy solve electricity scarcity problems and help the farmers immediately.

Taking further dig at congress government, Jagan challenged the congress government to step down and come to elections.

He promised farmers that very soon YSR's Golden era will come back and then the farmers can live happily without any problems.

Computer Teachers Relay Fasting Dharna reaches 27th day at Vizag      Top
Vizag Computer Teachers DharnaOct 11, Vizag: The Computer teachers relay fasting dharna in front of the Vizag Collectorate reaches twenty seventh day, demanding the government to concede their demands.

Teachers are demanding:
Regularization of Contract teachers
Minimum wages
Implement G.O.No (3)
May month salaries should be paid
Salary should be give given on 5th of every month
Maternity leave for lady teachers
Cancel contract hiring

The computer teachers all over the State are on a strike and there are 500 teachers in Visakhapatnam district.

The DYFI city and district committees extended its support to the strike and demanded the government to concede their demands. Speaking to media, the district committees of DYFI members, B.A. Naidu and V.V. Srinivasa Rao said, "The teachers were not even paid the minimum salary as per the recently issued GO No. 3 and get only Rs. 2,475 a month. Women, who constitute 75 per cent of the teachers, were not given maternity leave, t he teachers should also be paid for holidays during May".

YSR Congress Party District Convener Konathala Ramakrishna, Vijayanagaram district In-Charge Vamsikrishna Srinivas, Payakarao Peta MLA Baburao, Vizag Convener Raviraju, Corporators Hanoku, Kandipalli Apparao, Tippala Nagireddy, YSR CP IT Wing Committee member Madhusudhan Rao, YSR CP women wing leaders and various other party leaders and activists participated in this dharna.

Speaking at the dharna, Konathala came down heavily on AP Congress and UPA governments and said "both these governments at state and central has completely neglected the farmers problems and electricity problems. While YSR was alive farmers never faced the problems. It's been 27 days without proper electricity supply to farmers and they are facing severe problems, their crops are getting dried up and they losing their investment"

Konathala demanded immediate supply of electricity by borrowing it from other states and help the state farmers and small scale industries.

Raviraju, Vamsikrishna also condemned the governments negligence and demanded immediate help to farmers.

Later Konathala along with other leaders went to collectors chamber and submitted a written request letter to Collector asking government to help farmers immediately .

Today in Autonagar Thokada at Vizag robbers attacked a engineers wife with country pistols and looted 4 KG Gold from her.

Immediately after the robbers left the victim filed a complaint with local police, after registering her complaint the police are currently are manhunt for these robbers and alerted all main areas in the city.

In recent days, robbery at Vizag city increased, mainly robbers from other states are participating in these thefts.
